Clean, Peaceful, Serene, Quiet are all good descriptors of Trout Run Cabin. We are not your average cabin in the woods. If you compare Trout Run to other cabins, you will see there is a difference. Location, Location, Location. We have the perfect location because we are on a flat piece of land with a pond full of fish (and bull frogs) in the front yard and a fast flowing protected trout stream in the back yard all surrounded by mountains.
If you are looking for quiet, then we have it. If you are looking for a hot tub, we don't have it. Trout Run is not a party location, we are a family destination. We offer a great place for kids to run and play. It is very safe here. We like quiet and want to keep it that way. Want to get away and read a book? You like to fish? You like peaceful walks? This is the place for you. Come for a visit and relax. Take long walks in the National Forest right out the front door.
If all you want to hear is the sounds of the forest and the fast flowing stream then Trout Run is the place for you. Be amazed by the amount of stars in the sky at night. Sit by the fire pit at night, watch the glow of the fire on the trees while listening to the symphony of sounds from the forest. Roast hotdogs and enjoy smores right next to the fast flowing stream. How cool is that?
Trout Run is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath real log cabin. We have 2 kings, 1 queen futon and 2 twins (bunk beds). There is a washer, dryer and dishwasher in the cabin. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. We do not have a hot tub. We do not allow pets. We are a non-smoking cabin. The cabin is less than 20 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. The roads are smooth and easy to get in and out of. What can you do during the day? Let the children play, go fishing, go for a walk, go shopping at one of the areas many unique stores, go to one of many attractions in the area, go see a waterfall, go for a scenic drive, go horseback riding, go river rafting, go tubing, go to a park, play a game of horseshoes at the cabin, go mountain biking. There are many activities to keep everyone occupied.
