Title: Senior Internet UI Developer Location: GA-Columbus Other Locations: GA-Kennesaw Summary Uses skills in HTML/JSP/UI development, including industry tools, in working with various project teams to develop web-based user interfaces for existing and new TSYS EBS products, to include Instant Application and Credit Care. Translates design into prototypes and storyboards in support of development. Works closely with the product development and usability teams to implement the user interface design. Requires ability to manage multiple projects in coordination with multiple TSYS EBS teams, including Product Management and Development. Supports development and testing through the project lifecycle. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the financial services field should be applied to all product development. Maintains static demos of each EBS product. Adaptability to rapidly changing business, technology and competitive environments is also a key attribute to success. Responsibilities ** This position involves 40 % coding in Java/J2EE and 60 % in UI design/coding. ** Provides significant input into the creation of technical prototypes and screens, navigational structures and labeling systems. With limited guidance, creates user interfaces to support defined functional tasks using functional specifications and wireframes. Reviews and provides feedback on the final implementation of the UI. ** Provides significant input to others who work closely with the product management, usability, and development teams to translate use cases, task analysis, and requirements specifications into interface designs. Validates designs internally and externally through working prototypes. Provides significant input into creating innovative designs by looking beyond articulated needs. Primarily focused on executing the designs provided to them. ** Creates reusable HTML templates and style sheets based on UI standards and guidelines. Uses usability design principles and standards, as well as templates/tiles standards in development. Â* Develops site maps, wireframes and control/action/response tables as required to support the technical design process. Successfully implements look and feel to standards established for EBS. ** Understands and incorporates effective unit testing techniques and processes into all UI development work. ** Supports the development and maintenance of standard UI component libraries for use in design and development by both all teams (Product Management, UI Development, and Development). Participates in maintaining the EBS Style Guide. ** Understands and supports established EBS UI standards, as well as industry UI development and design best practices. Begins to assume responsibilities in the education of product development and professional services teams on the principles of user-centered design and on its application with EBS, as well as tools for developing wireframes and other design components. ** Participates in technical design, providing review and input related to meeting the stated UI design requirements. Contributes expertise in Web computing platforms (OS, browser, usage statistics, etc.) for consideration in making final design deployment decision to meet the needs of the user audience. ** Participates in the QA testing phase of all projects to provide subject matter expertise and compliance with UI design, as well as issue resolution. Uses testing tools and processes to track and coordinate development issues with the technology and testing teams. ** Responsible to ensure adherence to both industry standards and TSYS standards for Web application user interface design and development. ** Maintains proficiency in Web application industry trends, credit card market business drivers, and Web application development best practices. ** Seeks opportunities to stay current and expand technical expertise in principles and tools (browser/OS platforms, UI development technologies and tools, human computer interaction, Web interface design, prototyping, templating, OO development concepts, etc.). ** May require but is not limited to the following: adaptability to a variety of cultural environments, domestic/international travel (primarily to client sites for design and sales support), client situations, and assisting in hiring new team members. ** May supervise no more than two level I and/or II team members. Education/Experience ** Bachelor's degree, preferred in management information systems, technical writing (or equivalent field), human factors engineering, or computer scienceand4 or more years specialized training or professional experience in software development and/or user interface design, specifically with user, task, and product analysis in a Web/Internet development environment or specialized training or professional experience in graphic/interface design. ** Or, 6 or more years specialized training or professional experience in software development and/or user interface design, specifically with user, task, and product analysis in a Web/Internet development environment or specialized training or professional experience in graphic/interface design. o Minimum of two years experience in credit card or financial services preferred. o Appropriate TSYS experience is preferred.
