?DAY DEER HUNTING- ALSO-HOG, DUCK, DOVE AND SPRING TURKEY
I am offering hunting for deer and turkey on three places close to Lampasas, Texas, in Lampasas county. All of the places have campsites. This is a self guided hunt. I get you to sign a liability release, show you where everything is, and give you a map. You are on your own after that.
Place #1 Approx. 20 acres about 6 miles north of Lampasas. 2 double stands hunting corn feeders.
Place #2 Approx. 100 acres about 12 miles north of Lampasas. 3 double stands and 1 single, all hunting corn feeders.
Place #3 Approx. 40 acres about 25 miles west of Lampasas. 1 tower stand and one single ground stand ,both hunting cron feeders. This place has about ΒΌ mile of Colorado River Frontage. It has been lightly hunted and the rates are more expensive.
Hunting report; the hunter on place #1 harvested a real nice 8 point-I got a pic. the hunter and his wife both reported seeing a very large(they said probably 12 point)-could not get a shot. hunters on place #2 also reported taking a 12 point with 20" spread-I saw the pic(very impressive) and hope to have the pic soon, and a 8 point-no details.
More recently, 2 more 8 pointers and 3 doe have been reported taken. A very large buck has been spotted on or very close to place #1, by several hunters and my wife. I saw a very nice buck chasing a doe yesterday(Friday) at about 1 in the afternoon.
I just got a picture of a beautiful buck (8point) that was taken on the second weekend on place #2. The same group came back and shared the picture and sent me a picture of this real nice 9 point they took yesterday (Wed. Dec. 11th) Also I got a couple of pictures taken of 2 bucks taken on place #3.
My rates for places #1 & #2, are $150 for one day or $250 for two days. I grant permission for you to harvest one deer per day. These are all low fence places and there are no guarantees or kill fees.
I will be offering hog and duck hunting as soon as deer season is over . Then we have Spring Turkey Season and hopefully some great Dove Hunting. Also, I may have some season leases available for next deer season. I do not check my email very often so it would be better to call to book a hunt or for more information.
