Minimum Requirements: 1. High School graduate or demonstrated equivalent. 2. Five years of experience as a maintenance electrician in an industrial, commercial or manufacturing work environment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Electrical Masters license. 2. PLC programming knowledge. 3. Familiarity with cranes, hoists, grit blasters, water jet blasters, robotics and other production equipment. 4. Working knowledge of various electrical testing equipment, voltages up to 600V, and the National Electric Code (NEC). 5. Experience with 3-phase, nominal (600 Volts & under) switch gear and systems maintenance. 6. Experience working in a Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) environment. 7. Experience utilizing Microsoft Office software (i.e. Excel, Word, and Power Point). Job Description: URS, an AECOM company, is seeking a 1st shift Industrial Electrician IV in Columbus, GA! Typical work hours are 7:30am 4:30pm; hours may vary based on business demand. This position is responsible for providing an advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders associated with troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on industrial and/or commercial electrical power, lighting, production equipment, utilities equipment and systems, and controls systems. The Industrial Electrician must work effectively and safely in a production environment, communicating with various customers, developing work requirements from verbal and written descriptions, and applying a well-rounded knowledge of facilities, equipment and systems and ability to perform a variety of tasks competently. Although the job is focused on electrical systems, some competence in mechanics, controls, hydraulics, pneumatics and other building and production equipment and systems is expected. Essential Functions: Troubleshoots and locates electrical problems in a variety of electrical equipment, controls and electrical systems. Performs preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment, instruments, control systems, drives, and lighting systems. Assists lower level technicians with assignments as needed and provides appropriate coaching Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards. Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance. Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, and wearing PPE as required. Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work. Performs administrative tasks such as developing work plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Performs all assignments with the end goal of high level of customer satisfaction Flexible in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer.
