Military Statistician (Job Number:xxxx33)Description:The Experimentation & Training Division of SAIC in Columbus, Georgia, currently has an opening for a Military Research Analyst I position to plan, coordinate, execute, and document surveys of Soldiers for the Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate (CDID) within the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) at Fort Benning, Georgia.Job Description:The candidate selected will work as a member of the survey team and will provide technical advice and assistance to the team and government clients regarding how to conduct surveys using various qualitative and quantitative techniques; coordinate with various stakeholders to determine current research goals and priorities during the survey planning process; apply existing behavioral and social science research techniques, principles, concepts, and methods; design survey instruments that will capture the data needed by various organizations; ensure all administrative requirements are planned in order to execute the survey; travel to off-site locations to administer surveys; analyze survey data using objective, analytical, and critical thinking skills; perform content analysis of unstructured qualitative data; write and edit technical reports of data analyses; provide detailed responses to Requests for Information (RFIs); participate in group sessions to determine new research design methods and statistical plans of analysis; establish and identify specific topics for inclusion in the survey instrument, and design surveys that are consistent in format, structure, and wording.Qualifications:Required Education and Experience:- Bachelors Degree- Four years of work experience is required and at least one year of experience in at least one of the following areas: data collection, analysis, or survey/questionnaire designPrefered Skills and Education:- Bachelors Degree in psychology, sociology, or other quantitative social science field.- Candidate resumes should depict comprehensive knowledge and expertise of:- Identifying survey priorities and objectives- Survey design and development- Administering/collecting data- Analyzing data- Drafting survey reports and communicating findings- Managing survey data- Applied Research- Additionally, all candidates applying for this position must have documented knowledge and experience, reflected in their resume, of the following:- Expertise in the English language- Expertise in Microsoft Office suite and the use of survey software- Use of equipment and numerous software packages to prepare briefing materials and writing of technical papers- Familiarity with military hierarchy, military terms, and military acronyms- Must be able to physically work in field environments and lift 50lbs- All candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearnaceSAIC Overview:SAIC is a premier technology integrator providing full life cycle services and solutions in the technical, engineering, intelligence, and enterprise information technology markets.
