Experience. . 8+ years experience as a Central Utility Plant Stationary Engineer and a journey level license. . Requires working knowledge of engineering fundamentals necessary for effective and safe operation of complex electrical and mechanical building equipment and systems. . Experienced working with steam systems (e.g. high pressure steam boilers), centrifugal chillers, air handling units, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, heat exchangers, exhaust systems, VAV pneumatic controls, and building automation control systems. . High attention to detail and excellent follow up skills. . Excellent verbal and written communication skills. . Friendly, cooperative, customer service-minded attitude; team player. . Experience applying proper safety practices and following procedures while performing maintenance tasks. . Self-motivated with excellent time management skills. . Ability to work with little or no direction at times. . Prior use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel) . Position Description: Responsible for the care and maintenance of the boiler rooms, central utility plants (CUP) and associated equipment. Also coordinates subcontractor activities and assists craft technicians in other facility maintenance trades and services. Essential Functions: . Identifies and corrects problems with the CUP equipment such as boilers, chillers, chilled water and condenser pumps, air compressors and cooling towers. . Monitors building automation systems to ensure proper operation of air handling equipment and room temperatures including start up and shutdown, and normal operating conditions. Makes adjustments as necessary. . Takes daily chiller and boiler readings, submits reports as required to meet local and state requirements. . Maintains/performs Preventative Maintenance schedules and building tours. . Repairs piping systems including pumps, motors, and valves. . Troubleshoots electrical control circuits and ability to read schematics. . Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards. . Under general supervision, performs tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. . Understands and complies with all Environmental, Safety and Health (ES&H) programs and procedures. . Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
